My mother has been present in my life since day one. Since the day I came into this strange world and still until this day, I knew that my mother would be the person who would support and guide me in this lifetime.

My beautiful mother, what would I do without her? My mother is like my best friend and I know I'm not the only one who considers their mother as their best friend. I personally have called many people my best friend, but we're they really? No. A best friend isn't someone that encourages you to do bad things that will get you in serious trouble, or doesn’t support you in anything, or isn’t there for you when you need them, or who you don't feel comfortable talking to because you're afraid of getting judged. My mother is the complete opposite.

Because of her, I truly found someone to call my best friend. My mother is so caring, hardworking, and generous. She is important to me because without her I wouldn’t be the person I am today. She is someone I can talk to without being afraid of getting judged. She's the person that will tell me things I don't want to hear, but I know that she’s telling me for a reason. She always tells me when I'm in the wrong and in the right.

My mother is my number one supporter when it comes to my sports. She is always there to cheer me on which makes me feel more motivated to do better while playing my sports. The support she gives me isn't always in sports, it's also for school or towards my education. She supports me so much that words can’t even explain. She's always making sure I do my work and if I don't understand something she's always there to help me out. I know my mother wants me to go far in life, if she didn't, she wouldn’t give me this much support.

My mother pushes me to do better in life. Without her, I wouldn't stay on the right path. I'd go downhill to a path I know my mother wouldn’t want me going on. I would also be doing a lot of things I shouldn’t be doing. She makes me want to do better for myself. She has helped me become a woman that's strong and independent, someone who doesn’t need anyone but herself. My mother has always told me that “no siempre estaré a tu lado en esta vida. Un día tendrás que aprender a cuidarte, saber cómo prepararte la comida, como limpiar.” I feel downhearted when I hear her say those things. I know deep down that she's right. She's not always going to be by my side which hurts because she's the only one keeping me together. Without her by my side, I would be lost. She is my guide and I wouldn’t have anyone to tell me that I am going down the wrong path if it wasn't for her. The fear of this happening is just too much. I would be alone and would have to keep pushing myself to never give up.

I will forever be grateful for my mother, the woman who gave me life in this strange world, my best friend, my biggest supporter, and the only person I can truly trust. The love I have for my mother is unconditional. I love her so much. I can’t imagine how life would be when she won't be by my side but what I do know is I will live it to the fullest and make her proud.
